8 years experience working as an IT Manager within small businesses covering all aspect of their IT operation, from fixing PCs and end user training through network services design and server implementation to strategic planning and reporting directly to the company directors.

6 year managing a small network of specialist building simulation systems comprising of Unix, SG IRIX and HP-UX workstations and later NT4 workstations. During this time worked as a consulting engineer specialising in building simulations (eg Dynamic thermal, daylight and artificial lighting, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations).
